Origami for Process Analysis

Follow the steps in the photos below to fold your origami model. Once you are done, write a paragraph describing the process of folding this origami model. Make note of the problems you encountered and include them as warnings and tips for your readers. For example, you can include a tip on how you made your model square (as this step is not included.) Don't forget to use appropriate transitions.

You need to bring your paragraph to class on Wednesday, October 31st, 2012 in addition to the product you will fold.

Rationale: folding origami requires a precise process. Omitting a single step will give you a different end result. In order to arrive at the same product in the end, the steps should be clear and in order. This is the same for any process. Folding this origami model will demonstrate the importance of order and precision in any process.

Origami is the ancient art of paper-folding developed in Japan. The initial purpose behind it was to recycle paper. People made decorative and artistic models from paper they were finished with as an alternative to simply throwing it away, so if you have used paper, you should use it to fold this model!
